The Radiology & Imaging Department at Hayat Hospital has been providing high-quality diagnostic services since its establishment. Our department is staffed with experienced radiologists and equipped with advanced technology to offer a wide range of diagnostic radiology services and interventions. We have state-of-the-art equipment including the Philips MX 16 Slice CT scanner, Siemens Magnetom Essenza 1.5 Tesla MRI scanner, 300 mA X-ray machine, and the GE Voluson E8 ultrasound machine. These cutting-edge machines enable us to perform precise and detailed imaging studies for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Our CT scanner utilizes multiple slices to capture high-resolution images of the body, allowing us to visualize internal structures and detect abnormalities. The MRI scanner provides detailed images of soft tissues, organs, and the musculoskeletal system, aiding in the diagnosis of various conditions. With our X-ray machine, we can obtain radiographic images of different body parts to assess bone health, detect fractures, and identify other conditions. Additionally, our ultrasound machine allows for non-invasive imaging of organs, blood vessels, and tissues, assisting in the diagnosis and monitoring of various medical conditions.
Our team of specialist Radiology Consultants ensures the accurate interpretation of imaging studies and provides expert guidance to referring physicians for appropriate patient management. We offer a comprehensive range of diagnostic radiology services, including but not limited to X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and interventional procedures.
Interventions performed in our department may include image-guided biopsies, drainages, and minimally invasive procedures. These interventions are carried out with precision and under the supervision of our skilled radiologists, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.
At Hayat Hospital, we prioritize patient care and safety. Our Radiology & Imaging Department is committed to delivering accurate and timely diagnostic services, facilitating the early detection and treatment of various medical conditions. We strive to provide a comfortable and reassuring environment for our patients during their imaging procedures, ensuring their well-being throughout the process. Overall, our department aims to utilize advanced technology and the expertise of our radiologists to provide excellent diagnostic radiology services, contributing to the overall healthcare excellence offered at Hayat Hospital.
CT SCAN
The Radiology Department at Hayat Hospital is equipped with a 16 slice Core CT scan machine. It offers low radiation, high-quality images and the ability to personalize the reports from patient to patient. Some of the indications where CT scan is required are
- Internal Injury
• Suspected Tumor and Abscesses
• Muscle and Bone Disorder
• CT Angiograms and so on…
Apart from these, the CT Scan is also used for monitoring growth of diseases and effectiveness of treatment in diseases such as cancer.
ULTRASOUND
An ultrasound machine uses high frequency sound waves to make still and moving pictures of the organ under scan. The sound waves emitted from the ultrasound machine passes through the soft tissues and fluids but bounces back on hitting a harder surface. Ultrasound is used for monitoring the development of a fetus as it does not have any radiation involved. Hayat Hospital uses state-of-the-art ultrasound machines, with most experienced sonographers in the area. Ultrasound can be diagnostic or therapeutic in nature or can be used for guidance in biopsies.
MRI
MRI produces a detailed picture of internal organs of a patient’s body using a powerful magnetic field and radio waves. One of the major benefits of an MRI scan is that – it does not use ionizing radiation. Radiology department at Hayat Hospital is equipped with a top of the line 1.5 Tesla Siemens-Essenza MRI machine. The top end machine is capable of screening to produce detailed pictures of organs, soft tissues, bone and virtually all other internal body structures.
Some of the indications where MRI is required are:
• Brain Tumors, Aneurysm and Bleeding in brain caused by Stroke
• To Detect Damages in Lungs and Heart
• To Study Blood Flow in the Vessels called as Magnetic Resonance Angiogram
• Soft Tissue Organs such as Liver, Gallbladder, Pancreas, Kidneys, Bladder, Uterus, Ovaries and Prostate
• Apart from these, MRI can also be done for Bones, Joints and Spine
