Celebrating Care in Action: Hayat Hospital Hosts Free Health Camp & Awareness Program on Nurse’s Week

In a heartfelt initiative to serve the community and honor the relentless dedication of nurses, Hayat Superspeciality Hospital, in collaboration with the Leo Club of Guwahati Gold, organized a Free Health Camp and Awareness Talk Program on the occasion of Nurse’s Week 2024. The event was held on 10th May (Saturday) at the Helping Hand Old Age Home, Beherbari, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

A Mission to Serve: Bringing Healthcare to the Community

The primary aim of the health camp was to make basic yet essential healthcare services accessible to the elderly residents of the old age home, ensuring that preventive care and early diagnosis are available to even the most vulnerable segments of our society.

Our Hayat Nursing Staffs, known for their commitment and compassion, played a leading role in managing the entire event. They not only facilitated health check-ups but also engaged in interactive sessions to spread awareness on maintaining good health, the importance of regular check-ups, and managing lifestyle-related diseases.

Services Offered During the Health Camp

The camp provided a comprehensive range of health screening and consultations, including:

  • Random Blood Sugar (RBS) Testing – To monitor blood glucose levels, especially important for early detection of diabetes.

  • Blood Pressure Monitoring – A vital check for identifying hypertension and cardiovascular risks.

  • Weight Management Consultation – Offering advice on maintaining healthy body weight and fitness for the elderly.

  • Electrocardiogram (ECG) – For evaluating heart health and identifying abnormalities.

  • Medicine Consultation – General health check-ups and guidance by qualified doctors for further care and medication if needed.

Each patient was attended with utmost care, and appropriate health advice was provided for continued well-being. Our medical staff ensured a warm, respectful, and dignified approach throughout the camp.

Spreading Awareness: Talk Program Led by Nurses

Following the check-up sessions, an awareness talk was delivered by our nursing staff focusing on:

  • The daily health challenges faced by the elderly

  • Early warning signs of chronic diseases

  • Importance of medication compliance and balanced nutrition

  • Mental well-being and emotional care for seniors

The awareness session received active participation and appreciation from the residents, making it a truly interactive and enlightening experience.

Collaboration with Leo Club of Guwahati Gold

We extend our sincere thanks to the Leo Club of Guwahati Gold for their unwavering support and coordination. Their volunteers helped in organizing logistics, patient flow, and ensuring a smooth and efficient camp experience.

A Tribute to Nursing Excellence

This initiative was part of our Nurse’s Week celebrations, dedicated to recognizing the silent heroes of healthcare—our nurses. Their empathy, skill, and dedication form the backbone of patient care and community outreach at Hayat Hospital.

At Hayat Superspeciality Hospital, we believe that healthcare is not just about hospitals and treatments, but also about outreach, compassion, and community care. The Free Health Camp at Beherbari was a step in that direction—delivering preventive care, promoting health awareness, and building stronger connections with our community.

We remain committed to organizing similar initiatives in the future, continuing our mission to serve and heal with compassion.
