The Merit-cum-Means Scholarship by Hayat Foundation is a financial assistance program for academically meritorious students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, helping them continue their education without financial burden.
To be eligible, applicants must:
Be a student of Arts, Science, or Commerce stream.
Have scored 85% or above in Class IX (or above 85th percentile from the respective board).
Belong to a family below the poverty line (income proof required).
Be pursuing a regular course (not distance or correspondence).
Maintain a good disciplinary record.
Not be receiving any other scholarship or fee reimbursement (except government scholarships).
Diploma students and those who took a drop year after Class IX are not eligible.
The scholarship may cover tuition fees, academic expenses, or online coaching as required. The exact amount is determined based on the student’s academic performance and financial need.
The funds will be transferred directly to the student’s or parent’s bank account. The amount must be used exclusively for educational purposes. Any extra allowances will follow a structured payment plan.
Eligible students must submit their application along with the required documents to Hayat Foundation by the specified deadline. Applications may be accepted online, in person, or via email, based on Foundation guidelines. Shortlisted candidates may be called for an interview or additional assessment.

Copy of Class IX mark sheet
Income certificate or proof of financial status
Identity proof (Aadhaar, passport, etc.)
Admission confirmation letter from the current institution
Bank account details of student or parent
Any other documents as required by the scholarship committee
